A hairless dog has made a fantastic recovery three months after being found on the salt flats. Initially thought to be something else because she was in such poor shape, Matt Bentley realized that what he rescued was actually a dog that badly needed help. The dog, later named Kelly, arrived at the Utah Adoption Animal Center without fur and looking famished. The clinic staff, together with mother and daughter tandem Jamie and Whitney Jacques, took the challenge of rehabilitating her. Kelly eventually made progress after a series of intensive treatments, medications, and lots of love and attention from the humans around her.Jamie Jacques formed an instant bond with Kelly during the whole rehabilitation process. So several months after, she decided to adopt Kelly and gave her a forever home officially. Here, Kelly met her brother, Rocky, which is an 80-pound Golden Doodle. The next days were pure bliss for Kelly, Rocky, and the entire Jacques family. Kelly and Rocky were inseparable, and the Jacques adored them. But Jamie knew she has to do something significant for Kelly – and that is to let her meet the man who saved her life.Fifteen months after the rescue, Matt and Kelly finally met for the first time. Matt couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw Kelly’s amazing recovery. He kept hugging her and touching her beautiful fur – the feeling was just surreal. The amazing recovery of Kelly was like a happy ending to a fairy tale story. Matt and Jamie could not thank each other enough for doing the best they could to give this little warrior a new life and a happy home.Watch the video below to see how the rescued hairless Kelly transformed into a beautiful family dog.Source The Dodo via Youtube
So you want to know more about me, eh? Well, I am a Canadian, husband, and father of two young men.
I would say boys but they are not really “boys” anymore. They are 19 and 17. But they will always be my little ones. :-)
And, of course, we also have a dog. He is an Affenpinscher. Also affectionately known as a Monkey Dog.
His name is Monty. Yes, it is after Monty Python as he is a funny, crazy character.
Dogs have always been a part of my life. My parents started and owned a Dog and Cat boarding kennel just 20 minutes north of Victoria, on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia.
I started this website as a way to give back to the dog community. Which is full of many extraordinary dogs and owners doing many different and exciting things.
I hope you come back often to enjoy the wondrous stories I find.
Thank You for your time and interest.
