A mother canine and her three puppies were abandoned in a courtyard. Instead of helping these puppies out, most of the people living in the area wanted to get rid of them. They were very unwelcoming.

One woman who has been feeding the dogs reached out to a group of rescuers to help the canines out. When the rescuers arrived in the courtyard, the mother dog approached them.

It was friendly enough to greet them. The rescuers gave her some treats so she won’t be wary when they rescue her puppies.

It was more challenging to get hold of the puppies because they were hiding in a hole under a big container. One of the rescuers tried to give them some treats to lure them out. The puppies would take the treats out of her hand, but they refused to come out.

The rescuers thought of an idea. That they could push the puppies to the other end of the hole, the rescuers could catch them then.

This strategy work. The woman who has been feeding them is very grateful for the rescuers. She may not be able to see the dogs again, but she is happy that they’re safe.

She was very worried that the locals might hurt the dogs, especially since they were unwanted in the area.  The rescuers are thankful for the woman’s concern.

The rescuers then brought the dogs to the vet. There, they found that the mother dog was not nursing her puppies anymore, so she was ready to be sterilized.

As for the puppies, they were given a medicated bath for their fleas. They also had a photoshoot in the hopes of finding them good families.

The lives of these dogs are forever changed because of one woman. Thanks to her, the canines were pulled out of danger.

So you want to know more about me, eh? Well, I am a Canadian, husband, and father of two young men. I would say boys but they are not really “boys” anymore. They are 19 and 17. But they will always be my little ones. :-) And, of course, we also have a dog. He is an Affenpinscher. Also affectionately known as a Monkey Dog. His name is Monty. Yes, it is after Monty Python as he is a funny, crazy character. Dogs have always been a part of my life. My parents started and owned a Dog and Cat boarding kennel just 20 minutes north of Victoria, on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia. I started this website as a way to give back to the dog community. Which is full of many extraordinary dogs and owners doing many different and exciting things. I hope you come back often to enjoy the wondrous stories I find. Thank You for your time and interest. Larry
