Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic across the globe, dozens upon dozens of businesses have been shutting down or temporarily closing. Non-essentials such as theaters, gyms, and salons have closed their doors to customers in the meantime. However, this means that people are forced to learn how to do particular stuff for themselves. Some are now baking pastries at home, while others are cutting their own hair. For this fur mom from Australia, it was grooming her dog on her own.Hermione Olivia was used to bringing her Pomeranian fur baby, Mash, to the local groomer once in a while. After all, dogs his breed typically shed a lot and need regular grooming to avoid matting in their fur. However, since the start of the push to stay at home in Sydney, Australia, Hermione now has a problem on her hands.Mash’s coat seems to be getting messier and messier by the minute. And Hermione deemed it necessary to get his hair trimmed immediately. So gathering up the courage to do the task herself, the fur mom decided to purchase some trimming scissors one day.She then got Mash ready, and before she knew it, she was cutting away on the pup’s thick coat. However, along the way, she happened to miscalculate her trimming technique, giving poor Mash the most unexpected groom he ever had in his entire puppyhood. As it turned out, what used to be an adorable pooch is now someone looking very much similar to an Easter bunny! Clearly, Mash was anything but impressed with his fur mom’s version of grooming. Nonetheless, his followers on Instagram still think highly of him despite the bad haircut.Thankfully, the Pomeranian’s hair will eventually grow, and with the lockdown still in place, he would not even be seeing any other human or fellow canine anytime soon. Look at the funny-looking but adorable Mash here.
So you want to know more about me, eh? Well, I am a Canadian, husband, and father of two young men.
I would say boys but they are not really “boys” anymore. They are 19 and 17. But they will always be my little ones. :-)
And, of course, we also have a dog. He is an Affenpinscher. Also affectionately known as a Monkey Dog.
His name is Monty. Yes, it is after Monty Python as he is a funny, crazy character.
Dogs have always been a part of my life. My parents started and owned a Dog and Cat boarding kennel just 20 minutes north of Victoria, on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia.
I started this website as a way to give back to the dog community. Which is full of many extraordinary dogs and owners doing many different and exciting things.
I hope you come back often to enjoy the wondrous stories I find.
Thank You for your time and interest.
