Ivar is Krissa Wright’s beloved dog. Since day one of becoming part of the family, the lovely German shepherd proved to be one incredibly obedient boy. So when food started to vanish off their kitchen counter randomly, everyone was confused. And they all agreed that it’s a mystery they need to uncover.Krissa said that Ivar has never stolen food from them. They can put treats on the floor and leave it, and the pup would never touch it. He would even turn his back from it. But soon enough, the Wright family uncovered the truth. Most recently, Krissa’s dad decided to purchase and install a motion-activated camera. It also has a remote-controlled speaker where you can talk through. He placed it beside the counter, just a few inches away from where the bags of beef jerky were.Beef jerky is the mystery bandit’s preferred treats, so it’s the best bait to catch him. And the moment he gets near them, an alert will be sent to Dad’s phone, notifying him that the food is under threat. From that point, they’ll manage to confront whoever the robber is. And that’s precisely what happened. While Dad was at work and Ivar was alone at home, his phone went buzzing. And as it turns out, the pup was standing on his hind legs and aiming at the bag of beef jerky resting on the counter. Now, the mystery has been resolved. Ivar was indeed the jerky thief. And while he was obviously shocked to have been caught, it seemed that he still tried to continue with his crime.Dad and Ivar had a good talk later that day. But the incident happened one more time, and it was unseen. And while we know that Ivar was responsible for the disappearance of 2 bags of beef jerky, without evidence to support it, he remains innocent.Credits to Krissa Wright
So you want to know more about me, eh? Well, I am a Canadian, husband, and father of two young men.
I would say boys but they are not really “boys” anymore. They are 19 and 17. But they will always be my little ones. :-)
And, of course, we also have a dog. He is an Affenpinscher. Also affectionately known as a Monkey Dog.
His name is Monty. Yes, it is after Monty Python as he is a funny, crazy character.
Dogs have always been a part of my life. My parents started and owned a Dog and Cat boarding kennel just 20 minutes north of Victoria, on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia.
I started this website as a way to give back to the dog community. Which is full of many extraordinary dogs and owners doing many different and exciting things.
I hope you come back often to enjoy the wondrous stories I find.
Thank You for your time and interest.
