An animal rescue group known as Hope For Paws operates in the State of California. They serve to keep as many abandoned or stray dogs out of the busy city streets. The donations of generous people mainly fund them.
One morning, the group received a text message from a concerned individual about a dog he saw wandering the neighborhood’s streets with many abandoned buildings. A rescue team immediately went to the reported location.
Found the dog crossing the street
The team drove several times around the block before they saw the dog mentioned in the report. They quickly parked their vehicle and observed the dog from a distance. The team observed that the dog keeps moving and crossing the road. At one time, the dog nearly got hit by a speeding car.
When the dog walked into an alley with railroad tracks, one of the rescuers approached the dog and offered it some treats. But the dog ignored the food offered to it. The dog kept its distance and soon walked away.
The team prepared a large cage to trap the dog. But a train suddenly passed by and scared the dog away. The rescuers had to wait until sunset to see the dog return to the area. The dog had no interest in the trap made by the team. Their only option now is to chase the dog to capture it.
The rescue team set up soccer nets at one end to isolate the alley with the railroad tracks. Knowing where the dog was, the team used flashlights to find the dog in the bushes nearby. A rescuer held the net while another had a flashlight and a pole with a noose at the end. The one with the flashlight would chase the dog.
Finally catching the elusive dog
When the rescuer cornered the dog, he placed the noose around the dog’s neck. After a moment, the dog calmed down and allowed the rescuers to pat him. They were able to put the dog in a cage and carried him back to their vehicle.
Back in their animal center, the dog received medical treatment. After several days, the animal center placed the dog under the care of Sunny Days Acres. This animal shelter partnered with Hope For Paws in their shared quest to find new homes for rescued animals as soon as possible. It did not take long before Sunny Days Acres found a new home for this dog.

So you want to know more about me, eh? Well, I am a Canadian, husband, and father of two young men.
I would say boys but they are not really “boys” anymore. They are 19 and 17. But they will always be my little ones. :-)
And, of course, we also have a dog. He is an Affenpinscher. Also affectionately known as a Monkey Dog.
His name is Monty. Yes, it is after Monty Python as he is a funny, crazy character.
Dogs have always been a part of my life. My parents started and owned a Dog and Cat boarding kennel just 20 minutes north of Victoria, on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia.
I started this website as a way to give back to the dog community. Which is full of many extraordinary dogs and owners doing many different and exciting things.
I hope you come back often to enjoy the wondrous stories I find.
Thank You for your time and interest.
