It’s fantastic to have a dog who follows you everywhere – that’s more than anybody could ask for. Ddoong’s faithfulness and loyalty to her owner proved life-saving, and our admiration for this furry pet goes up another slot.
The people in the village are witnesses to the pair’s daily walks up the mountain. It looks like everyone knew that their bond’s more potent than the regular one. That bond will soon go through a trial that puts the very meaning of friendship to test.In the video, paramedics say that on the day Ddoong’s owner collapsed, the dog frantically barked at anyone who passed the road leading to the mountains. Way to go, girl!We kind of knew that you’d do everything in your doggy power to save your owner.Fortunately, a relative went looking for them when the duo didn’t return after their morning walk. Ddoong led the relative to where her owner lay in the mountains.Shortly after, paramedics arrived, and the reliable pet led them to the patient’s location. If not for Ddoong, this story could’ve ended in a different note.Ddoong wanted to ride with her owner to the hospital, but the paramedics didn’t let her. From that day on, every time a car approaches, she gets up and runs to see if her owner’s in one of them. It’s okay, doggo, she’ll be back in no time.
The waiting game
The kind relative who watches Ddoong helped the pet feel closer to her master by putting the owner’s clothes in the dog’s bed. The scent gives the dog a little consolation. We’ve got great news, doggie! See those men who came for your owner? They say she’ll be home soon! You’re the best, Ddoong! Pure love and concern for your owner led to saving her life. You did well; she’ll be so happy to come home to you.Photo and video credit to Kritter Klub via YouTube
So you want to know more about me, eh? Well, I am a Canadian, husband, and father of two young men.
I would say boys but they are not really “boys” anymore. They are 19 and 17. But they will always be my little ones. :-)
And, of course, we also have a dog. He is an Affenpinscher. Also affectionately known as a Monkey Dog.
His name is Monty. Yes, it is after Monty Python as he is a funny, crazy character.
Dogs have always been a part of my life. My parents started and owned a Dog and Cat boarding kennel just 20 minutes north of Victoria, on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia.
I started this website as a way to give back to the dog community. Which is full of many extraordinary dogs and owners doing many different and exciting things.
I hope you come back often to enjoy the wondrous stories I find.
Thank You for your time and interest.
